Use of IPO Proceeds and Business Model
The capital raised will fuel Moneyview's expansion. Of the fresh issue proceeds, ₹325 crore will be used to support loan disbursals under default loss guarantee arrangements. A further ₹250 crore will be invested in augmenting the capital base of its NBFC subsidiary, Whizdm Finance. The remaining funds are earmarked for general corporate purposes, with a third of the fresh capital specifically for investment in Whizdm.
Moneyview operates as a digital-only, credit-led fintech platform. It offers unsecured personal loans to underserved and new-to-credit borrowers. The company partners with banks and NBFCs to offer loans via its app and website, and also issues loans in-house via Whizdm Finance.
Founded in 2014 by IIT Delhi graduates Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal, its flagship digital personal loan business launched in 2017. The platform has since expanded into earned wage access, home loans, loans against property, digital gold, and UPI transactions, covering borrowing, transactions, investments, and protection.
Puneet Agarwal said, "The strong listing reflects investor confidence in our vision and growth potential." Sanjay Aggarwal added, "This IPO will accelerate our mission to serve underserved borrowers through technology."
Moneyview continues to execute its strategy to serve underserved borrowers using the newly raised capital.
