Chapter Home has raised Rs 63 crore in a strategic funding round. The mix of equity and debt values the home and kitchen startup at nearly Rs 1,000 crore, or approximately $106 million. The round saw participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, Tanmay Bhat, and several family offices.

Founded in 2025, the company already operates the home furnishing brand HOKIPO. Its portfolio spans bed and table linen, cookware, home décor, and small kitchen appliances. The founding team includes Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain, and Dheeraj Goyal.

Strategic focus on AI and product expansion

The fresh capital will fuel product development and expansion into newer categories. A significant portion will be invested in technology and establishing an offline presence. Chapter Home plans to leverage synergies across its shared platform for sourcing, supply chain, content, and distribution to enter adjacent categories like cookware and small kitchen appliances.

Artificial intelligence is central to its strategy. The startup uses AI for product cataloguing, content creation, and demand forecasting. It also applies AI to product assortment planning, customer targeting, and retention. This approach aims to launch new brands faster and rein in operational costs.

The company combines product development and brand building with an omnichannel distribution network. Its sales strategy includes online marketplaces, quick commerce platforms, a direct-to-consumer channel, and offline retail.

Market context and competitive landscape

The Indian home furnishing and decor market presents a significant opportunity. It is projected to reach $45.5 billion by 2031. Chapter Home is building focused brands for specific categories within this space, using a shared technology and distribution backbone.

Cofounder Nitin Chugh stated that consumers are increasingly seeking better-designed products, trusted quality, and a superior overall experience both online and in store. He sees a meaningful opportunity to build for those needs, which is why the company is creating focused brands for each category across home and kitchen.

Anant Vidur Puri, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, commented on this approach. He highlighted Chapter Home's model of building focused brands for each home category using a shared technology, sourcing, and distribution backbone.

The funding landscape for home-focused startups has been active. In August, home decor marketplace Vaaree raised ₹65 crore in its Series A round. That round was co-led by Hero Enterprise and Cap Alpha Ventures. Prior to that, D2C homeware startup HomeEssentials raised ₹70 crore in a pre-Series B round led by 360 ONE Asset.

Looking ahead, Chapter Home plans to establish its first physical retail touchpoints. This move is designed to expand its reach beyond online sales channels.
