Medulance Raises $2.5 Million Series A2 for Ambulance
Healthtech startup Medulance has raised ₹24 crore in a Series A2 round led by Auxano Capital, with participation from Alkemi, Equentis, and angel

Medulance has secured ₹24 crore, equivalent to $2.5 million, in a Series A2 funding round. The investment was led by Auxano Capital, with participation from existing investors Alkemi and Equentis, alongside a group of angel investors.
Founded in 2017 by Pranav Bajaj and Ravjot Singh Arora, Medulance operates a GPS-based emergency response and ambulance booking platform. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its emergency services nationwide, grow its hospital and enterprise business segments, and enhance its technology infrastructure and connected ambulance fleet.
Service and Technology
The startup provides ambulance booking through a mobile app and phone calls, dispatching a fleet that includes advanced life support (ALS), basic life support (BLS), patient transport, and mortuary vehicles. Its technology platform manages emergency calls, ambulance dispatch, and real-time connections between patients, medical teams, and hospitals.
Medulance use GPS and 5G-enabled technology to share patient data with hospitals during transit. Some ambulances are equipped with cameras to allow for remote patient assessment by doctors before arrival at the hospital.
Scale and Performance Claims
According to the company, it operates a network of more than 15,000 ambulances across over 500 cities in India. Medulance states its services cover more than 80 lakh (8 million) people and handle approximately 5,000 emergency calls daily.
The startup makes several performance claims for its network. It reports an average response time of under 11 minutes and a fleet uptime of 95%. Medulance also says it serves more than 110 corporate and hospital clients.
| Metric | Claimed Figure |
|---|---|
| Ambulance Fleet | 15,000+ vehicles |
| Cities Covered | 500+ |
| People in Network | 80 Lakh+ (8 Million+) |
| Daily Emergency Calls | ~5,000 |
| Average Response Time | < 11 minutes |
| Fleet Uptime | 95% |
| Corporate & Hospital Clients | 110+ |
Funding Context and Market
This Series A2 round brings Medulance's total raised capital to over $5 million. This includes a $3 million Series A round led by Alkemi Growth Capital earlier in 2024.
The funding arrives as the startup aims to scale its network to meet growing demand for organized ambulance and pre-hospital care services. The Indian emergency healthcare landscape is described as fragmented, with ambulance operators, hospitals, and medical teams often operating on disconnected systems, which can lead to coordination gaps and slower response times.
It is projected to grow to $9.8 billion by 2034, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.33% between 2026 and 2034.
