Graph AI Raises $13.3 Million Series A Led by Insight
AI pharmacovigilance startup Graph AI has secured $13.3 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners, with participation from Bessemer

Graph AI has raised $13.3 million (₹127.2 crore) in a Series A funding round. The pharmaceutical-sector focused AI startup will use the fresh capital to accelerate its expansion across the United States and Europe.
The funding round was led by US-based Insight Partners. Existing investor Bessemer Venture Partners also participated. Nithin Kaimal, partner and India COO at Bessemer Venture Partners, commented on the investment. "Since leading Graph AI’s seed round, we’ve watched Raghav and the team turn a bold thesis into live enterprise deployments with measurable outcomes," Kaimal said. "We are thrilled to deepen our partnership alongside Insight Partners as Graph scales globally."
Product Development and Launch
Since its seed round in October 2025, Graph AI has launched two product modules to market. The startup is planning to launch a third module this month.
The company claims to have onboarded pharmaceutical and biotech customers across North America and other regions. It also reports securing design partnerships for a future module named 'signal,' which is intended to surface emerging safety signals and patterns across cases.
Company Background and Technology
Graph AI was founded in 2024 by Raghav Parvataraju (CEO), Vijay Ponukumati (CTO), Mohan Konyala (CPO), and Ashutosh Bordekar (CFO). The startup offers an AI-native platform called 'Graph Safety' designed for the pharmacovigilance sector.
Pharmacovigilance is a mandated process requiring drug companies to monitor, detect, and report adverse drug events throughout a product's lifecycle. Graph AI's flagship SaaS product aims to automate this complex workflow. Built on its proprietary graphx platform, Graph Safety unifies source intake, case processing, aggregate reporting, signal detection, risk management, and regulatory compliance into a single ecosystem. The product, which automates individual case safety reports (ICSR), is already deployed with enterprise customers.
Funding Context and Market
The Series A round follows an earlier seed funding round of $3 million led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The latest investment reflects broader investor interest in AI applications for healthcare and drug discovery. Inc42 notes that AI funding in India surged over four times year-on-year to $676 million in the first half of 2026. The report cites AI-powered drug discovery startup Peptris, which raised about $7.7 million in a Series A round earlier in the year, as another example of this trend.
Graph AI is currently working on adding advanced capabilities to its Graph Safety platform across the entire safety value chain.
