Wealthtech startup Zomint raised ₹36 crore ($3.7 million) in seed funding from Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners

Zomint has raised ₹36 crore, approximately $3.7 million, in its maiden seed funding round. The investment was led by Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners.

The startup was founded in September 2025 by Aman Mittal and Shavir Bansal. Mittal previously held product leadership roles at Flipkart and Pine Labs. Bansal founded the personal finance content platform Bekifaayati, which claims over 50 lakh subscribers.

Business model and client engagement

Zomint provides wealth management services to working professionals and families. The model assigns each family a personal wealth expert who tracks investments and financial goals. These relationship managers currently serve more than 250 families each.

They are supported by investment specialists and AI-enabled tools. The technology consolidates portfolio information, financial goals, past conversations, and investment research. It flags areas requiring attention and tracks agreed actions. Investors can begin their engagement through one of two entry points:

Investment TypeMinimum Amount
Monthly SIP₹25,000
Lump-sum₹5 lakh

Growth and retention metrics

The platform claims a 97% client retention rate since launch, a figure maintained despite market volatility. Nearly one in three clients made additional investments through Zomint within three months of initial engagement.

All customer acquisition has been organic. Shavir Bansal said: "Zomint claims to have acquired its entire customer base organically, led by Bekifaayati’s presence on YouTube and Instagram." The company does not spend on paid customer acquisition.

Product offerings and expansion plans

Operating as an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor, Zomint offers access to a range of products. These include equity, debt, hybrid, gold and silver, and global funds, including GIFT City funds.

The new capital will be used to strengthen technology and investment capabilities. Zomint also plans to expand its wealth and investment teams. It aims to broaden services beyond domestic mutual funds and grow its content-led distribution across new formats and regional languages.

Market context and competitive landscape

The fundraise aligns with rising investor interest in wealthtech startups targeting investors beyond the high-net-worth individual segment. Aman Mittal said: "Zomint targets investors beyond the HNI segment by offering dedicated wealth experts to customers."

This places Zomint in a broader segment that includes peers like Centricity, Novelty Wealth, Tijori, and IPO-bound StockGro. StockGro recently raised ₹110 crore as part of its ongoing Series B round. Earlier tranches for StockGro included ₹150 crore from Param Capital founder Mukul Agarwal and $13 million from existing investor BITKRAFT Ventures.

Zomint plans to use the capital to strengthen technology and investment capabilities, expand its wealth and investment teams, and broaden services beyond domestic mutual funds.
